CASA REGULA is a stunning, beautiful bright apartment in the heart of Lucca within the walls. Every window is a picture. Gorgeous view from the bedrooms and living room!
The apartment lies on the GROUND FLOOR (no steps) of an antique building dated back to 1200s. Important to know that the apartment have been recently totally restored and even more important to know is that the owner is an architect, interior designer.. and this makes the result as a perfect place to stay providing the guests unique feeling of luxury and comfortable living.
The apartment comes with all the modern comforts: dish-washer, washing machine, clothes dryer, wifi, floor heating, air conditioning in 2 of the bedrooms overlooking the garden, big fans in each room, complete upscale household appliances in the kitchen.
You will love the magic atmosphere of this place. History from one side and modern amenities on the other side. Design furniture. Design lamps. Music sistem in every room (including bathrooms) by BANG & OLUFSEN. Extremely-cared details.

The apartment consists of an entrance, a large and bright day area with sofa and seats overlooking the garden through the grand glass windows, a dining room with view over the garden and a dining table for 8 and a fully equipped modern kitchen with another dining table for 4 and a fireplace. There are 3 double bedrooms and two luxury bathrooms with grand walk-in showers. Two of the bedrooms has a great french glass windows with view on the garden while another one has a french door opening onto the patio.
The garden is very private and secluded as well as the interiors of the house: despite the big windows there is no other building that has windows overlooking inside the apartment. In addition, all of the windows of the apartment (including the grand glass windows overlooking the garden) have an electrict black shade that makes dark and privacy so it will no be possible for the other members of the party to see inside the rooms when they are enjoying the garden.
The apartment comes with all the modern comforts: dish-washer, washing machine, clothes dryer, laundry facilities, wifi floor heating, fax/copier, and air conditioning.
ABOUT the LOCATION
Perfect Location in the pedestrian area of Lucca historic centre between the two most important churches: San Giovanni (where every night you can enjoy a concert) and San Romano. The main Piazza Napoleone is just round the corner as well as the closest parking (less than 1 minute walk form the apartment). Train and Bus station are a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants and groceries are few steps away. The access to the promenade on the top of the city's walls is just round the corner. I could not find a better located apartment.
It is very central .. few steps from everything!
The house is available for a maximum of 6 guests
Heating if used is charged extra for 7 euros daily.

We had never visited Lucca before but it was a charming town with beautiful areas for walking, shopping and sightseeing. The coffee shops, bars and restaurants were also excellent and all close by. The agent, Sonia, met us to give us all the info on the apartment and several suggestions for shops and restaurants. We also arranged to have Chef Cristina meet us with a delicious ‘Welcome Dinner’ upon our arrival. Perfect after a long day of travel! I would highly recommend this property and hope to return one day soon!

You can be socialfind a nook to read in. The location is quite, but close to everything. Ms Sonia takes great care with all your request, and is a charming host. I don't even know where to begin..... this place was incredible, every comfort of home available, large and spread out with two separate garden areas, great well stocked kitchen, right in the center of Lucca, walking distance to the train and all of the old town. Owner provides a comprehensive book of information on the villa and Lucca. Her recommendations were perfect.... we used the massage therapist who came to the villa, we used Christine the chef to come in and cook for us, we went to Giuseppe's cooking class TWICE, and visited several of the restaurants recommended. The owner and manager dealt with any questionsissues immediately. We stayed two weeks and would have loved to stay longer. There is just not a single complaint about this property.

While my review is long overdue, it is wonderful to recall the lovely time I spent in this amazing apartment in Lucca. Designed by an Architect and a talented Designer, you can feel the love behind the vision that is evident in all of the special touches that the owner has added to the space to make it feel high-end and luxurious, yet homey. The outdoor spaces (2 of them!) are just amazing - unbelievable to find in a city such as Lucca (or anywhere!). For me, the gourmet kitchen was a home chef's delight complete with a wonderful espresso maker. The bathrooms are elegant and spacious. The sound system is super high tech with a fantastic collection of CDs - even the music volume in the bathrooms can be individually adjusted to your taste. I liked the location - it's near long-term parking and a short walk to the restaurants. I have stayed in many apartments in Europe and the amenities offered exceed any I have visited. I give it my highest recommendation. My very best to the owner, Regula, who is an elegant, charming, warm and lovely person. I felt it truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home and sincerely hope that I have the pleasure to visit again. I visited with the intent to return with a group of friends and learned that the owner also has a larger villa that she rents as well. You can email her about the details if interested.

The kitchen is very well stocked and we especially enjoyed the coffee in the mornings! The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms quiet. There are two comfortable and usable outdoor spaces with plenty of seating for a large group. The washing machine and dryer were a must for us with children, and the sound system was a treat to listen to Puccini in the evenings (as well as ABBA for our kids). The location is wonderful in Lucca, an easy walk to many things. We had no trouble with parking and made several day trips to Pisa, Siena, Porto Venere, and Florence. It was my parents first trip to Italy and they were just in awe of the apartment and the setting. We have stayed in many holiday homes in Europe, and this was the best! Regula is kind, hospitable, and very accomodating. I cannot recommend this apartment enough!

Our highlights included bicycling in the countryside with a guide and bikes from Chrono, running the half marathon, walking on the old streets, playgrounds with the grandchildren, playing and resting in the private walled garden, bicycling the city walls, wine tours, taking our grandchildren on the carousel and for gelato, and delicious restaurant meals. The apartment exceeded our expectations and is very conveniently located. It was clean, the kitchen is very well-equipped, and we highly recommend staying here. Grazie mille.

There is no better way to discover the joys of Lucca than from you base camp at Casa Regula. This superbly equipped and designed apartment has everything in its locker,kitchen to die for,garden to relax in,lighting to set the scene,music system to entertain you,books to get lost in. We were lucky to arrive and be given the royal tour by owner Regula and her agent Sonia. They took time to ensure that we understood every piece equipment,knew where the best deli's were,the restaurants of the day,sights to see,things to do etc. We were a party of four friends who have travelled to Italy on a regular basis,this was my third visit this year,for over the last 15 years,some of us even longer. We were all agreed this was probably one of our most memorable trips made all that more special by the welcome we received,the delights of Lucca and the comfort of knowing we had at our backs the comforts of Cada Regula. We will return,soon,very soon!

Stunning apartment with everything you will need for a perfect stay. The owner was so friendly and helpful. It is her family home and she makes you feel like you are an invited guest. The location could not be better since you can bring a car very close by and park if necessary without breaching the restricted traffic zones. Free parking is only a 20 min walk away outside the walls and a large supermarket is near the free car park. Highly recommended.
